Setlist from Seattle show

I attended the Seattle show last night (Sunday, Dec. 10) and wanted to give Mindy fans the rundown. Here are the songs she sang so beautifully:

Come to Jesus
Out Loud
Tennessee
One Moment More
Long Island Shores
Jolene
Out of Control
Peace of Mind

She came on just after 7pm, start time for the show, and performed her set in about 45 minutes. It was “acoustic” in that there was Mindy playing guitar, a very talented gentleman playing mandolin and another very talented gentleman playing organ/keyboard, but no percussion, steel guitar or other acoutrements. Of course, Mindy’s voice is the power behind the music and she did very tender, heartfelt versions of these songs. One audience member shouted out a request for “Hurricane” (my personal favorite) before her first note, but alas, it was not to be. After her set, Mindy headed out to the lobby to sign T-shirts and CDs. I very happily purchased my second copy of “One Moment More” to provide something for her to sign and had a brief chance to say hello and tell her how beautiful I think her music is. I was thrilled to be able to say hi. She was very gracious and personable with all the folks in line. An overall excellent Mindy Smith experience. I now wish for a Mindy show with a full band and a full setlist! Wouldn’t that be wonderful?!

I am so upset that I missed the show. Where did Mindy play? I definitely prefer Mindy acoustic as her voice is to precious to be drowned out by a full band.

I knew Mindy as an acquaintance from frequenting the 12th and Porter Mon. open mikes when I lived in Nashville and this was way before she release her first CD. She definitely is a genuine and down-to-earth person. It was great to see that her music was finally getting out as she is incredibly talented.
