Sad news, the UK tour has been postponed:
"We regret to inform you Mindy Smith has been forced to postpone her upcoming UK set to happen in January 2007. Due to unforeseen family circumstances, Mindy hopes to reschedule events including concerts at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall and Tron Hall, Manchester’s Club Academy, and London’s Water Rats Theatre … "
Hopefully it will be rescheduled. If it is I’ll definitely be at the Manchester gig. I’d really like her to play again at the 4-day Cambridge Folk Festival in July 07; she went down a big storm back in 2004. Anyway, I’ll be there and it would be a real treat if she was performing. It’s broadcast on national radio (BBC) so anyone on the planet should be able to listen on the web.
Mindy is playing Manchester Academy on Sunday 21st January 2007. I have ordered my ticket for this show, and would think she’ll be playing other venues in the UK in January
