I am new to Mindy Smith, only having just seen her video for the first time this morning but something told me she was adopted, being an adoptee myself. So i checked out her website and sure enough there was a blurb about her being adopted and doing a benefit concert for international adoptees. I checked out the lyrics to some of her songs and WOW how much many of them reflect the feelings of an adoptee. I do not know if Mindy has ever spoken about her adoption or is aware how much that is a part of her but I just had to reach out to her and anyone else who may be struggling with theses feelings and have been adopted. Adoption is the biggest trauma anyone could ever suffer! We lost our mommy!
