A little more than 24 hours ago, I had never heard of Mindy Smith. However, I was sitting in a Starbucks in San Lorenzo, California, and an exceptionally beautiful song that was playing in the store caught my attention, and held it. I just had to know who the artist was, so I checked their large wall mounted LCD screen which gives information on the song currently playing and a picture of the album cover. The album cover, “Long Island Shores” matched the beauty of the song that was playing. So now, a little more than 24 hours, I own the CD and am enamored by its simplicity, wistful beauty, charm and lovely muti-faceted soul. I am sincerely glad I have discovered such a promising artist.
