Mindy - I loved your cover of Jolene and thought Come to Jesus was one of the best things to happen to country in the last twenty years! But I was THRILLED to hear our town mentioned in Long Island Shores! My friend Kate and I both live in Nashville now, but we were in the Northport Senior High class of 1990! I understand that you’re from Nesconset, but I’m sure you got up to Cow Harbor a time or two! We’re so proud of you! Keep up the good work!

After seeing your interview on GAC,I heard you mention the intersection at Old Nichols Rd and Portion Rd in Nesconset.Coincidently,I had to drive by there the next day and yes, I saw the church that you mentioned,but I didn’t see the green house.It’s probably been painted!
Anyway the real reason I’m writing this is to ask if anyone knows if and when you plan to play back here on the Island or in NYC? I fell hard for your music the first time I heard “Come to Jesus”.It was the most emotional song I’d ever heard,and yes,it brought me to tears! It still does.The album is incredible.

I’d love to see you play the IMAC in Huntington.I just saw Jerry Douglas(Mr.DOBRO) there a few weeks ago,and just thought that’d be the perfect venue,but you’d probably have to do a few shows so all of your local fans and friends could get in to see you.
